That Between Us
A lot in life is coincidence, but you still need to deal with it consciously. "That Between Us" is a short film about love and a lifelong friendship that endures even after the relationship painfully ends. I aimed to highlight the human potential to remain emotionally close to one another despite difficult circumstances.
In the summer of 2020, our dear friend Scotty passed away shortly after his 50th birthday. No one knows exactly what happened, but he left a letter behind that deeply shocked both me and my close friend Serge. His letter, profound and poetic, is heard in the voice-overs. This is my personal story, and I made this film in loving memory of Scotty.
Log line: Certain she will spend the New Year’s days alone, she unexpectedly ends up at one party after another. Invited by her friends Serge and Scotty, who have just arrived in the city, she immediately joins them. What connects them through the years, and what do they carry deep in their hearts?
